I woke with a start at a glimpse of blue sky but by the time Mike and I rolled from bed the clouds had darkened the sky and the wind gusts had triggered warnings for up to 50 mph (Intellicast). You can see the dramatic changes taking place near Thill’s Fish House in Marquette’s Lower Harbor. Over this week I hope to process more of the captures and share some stormy skies with you.

I discovered your blog a few weeks ago. I really enjoy your photos — the cracking sea ice, the lighthouse, these beautiful blue stormy skies.
We stopped at Thills and bought some whitefish last time we were in Marquette. I want to second Wil’s comment: your photos are magnificent! You know how to capture such beauty. I am a big admirer.
Hi Wil–thanks for delurking and making a comment. I dropped in on your blog and after dinner will take a closer look. Your photos look fun :-) I love the brown shoe, the igloo.
Centria–you know I have never got fish at Thills. I need to do so, support local biz and all.
Both of you thanks for the compliments. I had a hard hard day and they are much appreciated!
